My poor dog had suffered some sort of skin condition for years and nothing seemed to help. She had numerous patches of dry, scaly skin which would scab over and her hair would come out in clumps. I felt really sorry for her as she seemed to be under the weather and not her usual perky self. I had been prescribed Malaseb shampoo but this only seemed to make her skin worse and there was so much hair left in the bath I though she was going to go bald. After numerous tests and medication, one of the veterinary nurses suggested I slowly introduced her to Royal Canin Skin Care and started using Douxo shampoo so we were combating her skin condition from two different angles. I'm glad to say that her skin has improved immensely and her coat has a lovely sheen. She still itches every so often but this is probably an allergy of some sort but her skin and coat are in great condition.
